Appointments

A request sent through this site is not a confirmed appointment until the clinic contacts you to confirm it. Please let us know as early as possible if you cannot attend.

Prices

Prices on this site are in South African rand and may change. The price that applies is the one on your invoice. Essence does not bill medical aids; you pay the clinic and claim from your scheme yourself.

Birth package

The birth package costs R22 000. A deposit of R5 000 is due by week 20 and secures your booking; it is non-refundable. The balance of R17 000 must be paid in full by week 36. If the balance is not settled by week 36, Essence cannot facilitate your birth. Birth at Essence depends on your pregnancy remaining low-risk; where a hospital birth is safer we will refer you. Your written birth agreement with the clinic sets out the full terms.

Patient portal

Keep your sign-in codes private. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has access.

Liability

We take care to keep this site accurate, but we are not liable for loss caused by relying on general information here instead of professional advice.
